Very simply, the DHA reacts with your proteins and amino acids in your skin to bring out your own color. It takes approximately 6 hours for the reaction to complete. But you should still wait 12-24 hours before showering.

- Your skin type: The drier your skin the faster your tan will tend to fade, so moisturize well.
- How well the skin is cared for and amount of 'wear' it is exposed to. Only the outermost layer of skin is 'tanned'. As the skin layer is lost, so is the tan. Wear on your airbrush tan comes from rubbing, soaking in water, long showers, tight fitting clothing or swimming in chlorinated pools.

When you really want to get that deep dark tan we recommend coming the next day for an additional tan. We recommend not waiting any longer than 24hrs after your first tanning session and yes, you do need to do the initial tanning with us.
